Player Uno vs. Stinky the Homeless Guy vs. Zombified from Triple X’s Ground Zero 2008

This was an ISW Title match on a Triple X wrestling show.  I couldn’t find much info on this mysterious Ottawa area promotion, but since ISDub released the match, I’m giving them the plugs below.  If someone from the Triple X promotion wished for some sort of credit or linkage, shoot me an email at Shabang728@gmail.com

Recap from TJ Hawke:

Uno was the reigning ISW Champion at the time of this match, but apparently Kevin Steen had recently destroyed the belt.  This match is for the title.  Zombified was played by Player Dos.  It’s actually an unmasked Player Dos, so it’s not like I’m breaking some super serial secret by writing that.

Zombified showed a lot of energy for a dead man in the early goings. Uno sent him to the floor with an enzuigiri.  Stinky hit a Boxcar Cutter on Uno for an early nearfall.  Stinky hit Uno with a FameAsser for another nearfall.  Uno hit a release Northern Lights Suplex on Dos for a nearfall.  Uno hit a rip chord stunner for another nearfall.  Zombified superkicked Stinky, and he then gave Uno a German Suplex.  Stinky hit Zombified with a Shining Ass and all three men were down.  They all struggled to their feet and started chopping each other.  Zombified kicked Stinky in the balls.  Uno crotched Zombified on the ropes.  Stinky killed Uno with a lariat and a then a diving powerbomb: 1…2…ZOMBIFIED MADE THE SAVE!  Zombified got tossed to the floor, and Uno then caught Stinky with a small package: 1…2…3!!!

I had a lot of fun watching this match.  Zombified, 100% committed to the the gimmick (which is the only way the gimmick works), was clearly the highlight of the match.  If you’re hesitant to ever give Inter Species Wrestling a try, this would be a good match to check out.

Match Rating: ***

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
