Recap from TJ Hawke:

This match was for Hayme’s IPW Mid American Championship. Fox was the CZW Wired Champion at the time.

Fox hit a split-legged moonsault for an early nearfall.  Hayme hit a headscissors and an armtrap Drunk Slam: 1…2…NO!  Hayme was in control for a while after that.  Fox came back with a pair of stunners. Hayme fell to the floor. Fox then hit a cross-body dive and a tope con hello.  Back in the ring, Fox went for a swanton bomb, but Hayme got his knees up.  They ended up on the apron, where Hayme hit a Scorpion Deathdrop.  Hayme then hit a moonsault to the floor.  Back in the ring, Hayme hit a swinging piledriver: 1…2…NO!  Fox came back with a Kick Flip moonsault.  Fox then hit the guillotine legdrop on the apron. Fox went for a 450 Splash, but Hayme avoided it.  Hayme went to the top rope, but Fox crotched him. Fox went for the Lo Mein Pain, but Hayme blocked it and hit a 450 Splash: 1…2…3!

This was a lot of fun. Fox ran through his spots and Hayme was surprisingly able to keep up with him for the whole match (in terms of doing some crazy shit). I definitely recommend this match.

Match Rating: ***1/4

Thoughts from Gage Davis:

Really fun match from both guys. Their isn’t much of a story in this match but just both guys trying to top each other with spot after bigger spot hoping to hold either man down. A great win for Chrisjen Hayme as he beats one of the top guys going in the states today. Fox didn’t hold anything back in this match and gave everything he could to Hayme. Fun match from both guys as they get a ovation from the crowd.

Match Rating: ***1/2

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
