Thoughts from Leon St. Giovanni:

I wasn’t even scheduled to appear at Beyond Wrestling’s first live show at the Heirloom Arts Theatre in Danbury, CT. I had a newly formed partnership with “Mr. Hardway Podcast” himself Jon Harder, and it was time to show the world that we meant business. We were there to teach a lesson in #Professionalism 101 and make the name #LSG synonymous with success. After storming the ring, Harder tore Denver Colorado a new one so Denver decided to give me an opponent in order to shut us up. The unlucky victim was “The Juice” JT Dunn. It was a great back and forth contest that I will never forget. They all hated me out there and their behavior just went to show how #unprofessional the Beyond Wrestlers truly are. With a bit of assistance from Harder, I picked up the win and made a name for myself in Beyond Wrestling. While many weren’t happy with our actions, many others showed their true colors. Since then, JT Dunn and a host of others have joined The Professional Revolution and this was the match that started it all.

Thoughts from JT Dunn:

I remember being left off this show, I remember being put on the spot with no preparation, I remember pouring my heart out. I also remember being dropped on my head then waking up with a loss. This match set the precedent for a full effect Professional Revolution. The story with this match and emotion riding on it made it quite the joy. It allowed me to see which side I really should be on. #Professionalism is not just a “hastag”, it is a lifestyle, it is men passionate about wrestling…Taking Our Business Back. Whether it be in Beyond Wrestling or all over the entire Independent Circuit, The Professional Revolution will save Professional Wrestling, one match at a time.

Thoughts from Jon Harder:

This match symbolizes everything that the Professional Revolution started on July 23th in Beyond Wrestling. This match jump-started the career of Leon St. Giovanni. This match helped launch the start of something different within JT Dunn’s career. Lastly, this started #professionalism. I’m proud of this moment because after the past 7 months, the Revolution has formed and we move forward. I hope you fans understand that it is a simple match in terms of moves and action, but the entire story starts HERE. Hope you enjoy.

Recap from TJ Hawke:

Giovanni immediately took it to Dunn and overwhelmed him in the early part of the match. The crowd was alternately chanting “Fuck you Leon” and “Fuck you Harder.” Dunn finally avoided a Stinger Splash and hit a rolling kick, a la Johnny Gargano. The crowd loved Dunn’s comeback. Dunn hit a big Frog Splash, but Harder put Giovanni’s foot on the ropes to stop the count. That distracted Dunn, and Giovanni hit a flipping STO: 1…2…NO! They started some big strikes in the middle of the ring, much to the delight of the crowd. Dunn avoided a big kick from Giovanni and hit a swinging neckbreaker. Dunn went to the top rope, and Harder threw his jacket at him. Giovanni then back raked Dunn and hit an Awful Waffle out of the corner: 1…2…3!

Really strong, if short, match that had the crowd rocking. These two are surprisingly crisp in the ring, but their biggest assets is their ability to get the crowd into the action. Good stuff all around.

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
