Recap from TJ Hawke:

Bruno got tossed out of the ring right away.  Bruno eventually got back in the ring and sent Steen to the floor with a hurricanrana.  Bruno hit Page with a standing moonsault for a nearfall.  Page then took him down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.  Steen hit Page with a draping DDT.  Steen then hit Bruno with a Samoan Drop.  The three men proceeded to hit some big moves on each other until they all fell to the mat.  Bruno hit a moonsault to the floor onto Page.  Steen was on the middle rope and hit Bruno with a Finlay roll.  Steen seemed to be setting up for a swanton bomb, but Page knocked him to the floor.  Page hit Bruno with a Paroxysm.  Steen gave Page a lungblower and then hit Bruno with a swanton: 1…2…Page broke up the fall.  Page caught Bruno with a cutter out of the corner.  Page then hit Steen with a slingshot cutter: 1…2…NO! The crowd has seemingly lost some interest.  Steen hit Page with a package piledriver, but then Bruno caught Steen with a crucifix pin: 1…2…3!

That was actually a really cool finish, as it played off on the cliche finish of a lot of triple threat matches.  The match itself is nothing you haven’t seen before, but this match involves Kevin Steen, so you know it’s going to be fun.  Page and Del Bruno didn’t come across as future Wrestlemania main eventers or anything like that, but they were over with the local crowd for sure, and I look forward to watching other matches from them in Alpha-1.

Match Rating: **3/4

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
