Recap from TJ Hawke:

Scampi and Uno started off and some shenanigans ensued.  Dos and Barry tagged in and some wrestling ensued.  Barry hit Dos with a nice backbreaker.  Dos cut Barry off, and the SSB started to work over Barry.  Barry came back with an end-over-end back suplex on Dos.  Scampi came in and applied a crossface.  Player Uno, “That kills kids.” **Awkward silence**  TREMENDOUS started to work over Dos.  Dos hit a Rock Bottom on Scampi, which allowed Uno to come back into the match.  Dos hit a World’s Strongest Slam.  Scampi came back with a release Northern Lights Suplex on Uno.  Barry tagged in and killed Uno with a kneeling superkick.  Barry put Uno in a couple of different submissions, but Uno survived.  Uno came back with a delayed Mic Check dealio.  Dos and Scampi came in.  Dos took out Barry with a suicide dive.  Dos hit a nice DDT on Scampi.  TREMENDOUS managed to hit Dos with a Glam Slam/Ghetto Stomp combo move: 1…2…NO!  SSB hit Barry with the “Get Over Here.”  Falcon Punch and a Falcon Kick to Barry got another nearfall.  Scampi tossed Dos to the floor, and TREMENDOUS hit the Doomsday Sliced Bread #2 on Uno: 1…2…3!!!

That was a good match, with a surprising result as the Super Smash Bros. were undefeated going into the weekend.  Dan Barry and Ken Scampi are an under-appreciated team, even in Beyond circles, and I am glad they got the win here.  I hope the Super Smash Bros. are brought back to Beyond before the end of the year.

Match Rating: ***1/4

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
