Gage Davis’s Analysis:
Rose informs the announcer that he is the best athlete in IWA Unlimited. What a jerk. Matt Cage would be Christian Rose’s mystery opponent for the night.
Matt Cage is the fan favorite tonight to the displeasure of Rose. Rose tries for the take down but Cage stands his ground. Rose whipped to the ropes then shoulder tackles Cage down with ease. Rose is proud of himself for that. Cage starts slugging shot’s at Rose. Cage whipped to the ropes then takes down Rose with his own shoulder tackle. Rose starts to get serious as he takes of his head band. Lock up with Rose taking Cage down again with another shoulder tackle. They run the ropes with Cage hitting a high Heel Kick. Cage then rolls road into a STF. Rose makes it the ropes. Rose gets up and tries to his his corner double stomp but Cage blocks and slaps him and hits Rose with Double kneed to the corner. Cage snap mares Rose and hits a flying kick. Rose tries to get offense in but Cage throws him to the outside. Cage goes for a dive but Rose forearms him in the face. Rose then picks up Cage’s gum and starts chewing. Very gross. Rose starts laying in forearms and elbows to Cage. Rose goes for a chop but Cage evades causing Rose to hit his hand on the post. Cage then starts targeting the hand. Back in the ring and Cage lands a shot kick to Roses head. European Uppercuts to Rose. Rose then Rakes the eyes, Shot kick to the gut, then lands a swinging neck breaker. Stiff Kick to the back of Matt Cage. Rose stays on the offense with strikes and chokes Cage to the corner. Rose whips him to the ropes, Cage goes for a sunset flip but Rose stays up and tries to hit Cage but Cage attacks the injured hand and gets the sunset flip. Two count only. Rose gets up and clotheslines Cage.
Rose goes back to choking Cage mocking the fans. Rose tries to get rile the fans up but kicks the middle rope Cage is hanging on. Rose goes for the pin and gets a two count. Cage starts fighting back against Rose. Both exchange strikes then Rose hits his own shot kick to Cage’s face. Rose stalks Cage and hits another shot kick then stomps Cage into the canvas. Rose with a Butterfly Suplex pin but only gets a two count. Rose holds on for a front chancery then throws Cage into the corner and starts digging his shoulder into Cage’s ribs. Cage then his a high kick and starts taking Rose down continuously with forearms shots. Rose tries to duck but Cage kicks his head, Flying slap to his face, then lands a flying reverse neck breaker. Cage then kips up and slides to the outside for another slap to Rose. Cage then goes on top for a Hurricanrana but Rose reverses into the THORNS OF ROSE! (Boston Crap Variation) Cash Bordin then comes out and starts mocking Rose. Rose lets go and keeps his attention onto Bordin. Rose goes back to Cage but Cage gets a small package! Two count only, Kicks to Rose then hits a swinging fisherman’s buster! Goes for the pin but only a two count. Cage goes to the top rope but Rose gets up and picks up Cage into a Fireman’s Carry and hit a Gut buster! Yakuza Kick onto Cage and Rose goes for the pin. Two count only. Rose gets distracted again by Cash Bordin. Rose goes for a suplex, Cage reverses but Rose lands a big boot. Rose goes for a Roaring Elbow but Cage reverses it into a backslide! 1..2..3! Matt Cage is your winner!
Overall Thoughts: Solid stuff between both men. Both of these guys have wrestled each other numerous times and the familiarity was definitely there in the match. Cash Bordin getting involved luckily didn’t interfere in the match itself. I definitely think that these guys have a better match in them.
