Colt Cabana, Luke Gallows, and Cliff “Domino” Compton vs. Matt Cage, Alex Castle, and Joey O’Riley from IWA Unlimited 2012

This is a match from the weekly free Wednesday show from IWA Unlimited.  Learn more about them at their FacebookTwitter, and Website.

Recap from TJ Hawke:

The teams shake hands before the match.  Gallows starts off with O’Riley.  Gallows easily overpowers him.  The crowd is pumped for this match, and it looks like a packed house.  Gallows shows off his muscles, so O’Riley shows off his abs.  Gallows’s strength wins.  Cabana tags in.  They tie up and O’Riley actually manages to shove him down.  I cannot overstate how pumped for this match the crowd is.  The Buffet isolate Cabana and work over his arm.  Cabana was eventually able to take down Castle, and he then tagged in Domino.  Domino hit a running back elbow, but the Buffet were able to hit some of their trademark offense on Domino, which definitely popped the crowd.  Cage hit Domino with a Zig Zag.  Cage went for a top rope elbow, but Domino rolled out of the way.  The Road Diaries crew then isolated Cage in their corner.  Domino then hit the “Time to Die” leg drop.  Cage small packaged Domino for a nearfall, but Domino quickly cut him off with a lariat.  Cabana tagged in and worked him over some more.  Eventually, Cage was able to escape and he made a hot tag to Castle who ran wild on Cabana.  Domino tossed Cage out of the ring, but then O’Riley superkicked Domino out of the ring.  Castle hit an ace crusher on Cabana, and O’Riley covered him: 1…2…3!

This match was loads of fun.  The crowd heat was insane for this, as they seemed so proud of their guys facing off with the “bigger stars.”  IWA Unlimited puts on a lot of fun free matches like this, and we will definitely be posting more and more of them.

 Chris GST’s Take

A fun match with some good wrestling.  Overall having Cabana, Gallows, and Compton always adds eyes to any product and this is no different.  Cage, Castle, and O’Riley are good talents to have and they have impressed some of the writers of other wrestling blogs so good to know they were able to impress here.

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
