Recap from TJ Hawke:

Matthews and Alexander started the match.  Rave tagged in, and he seemed hesitant about locking up with Alexander.  He eventually just tagged out to Matthews again.  Coleman tagged in.  Not a lot going on, especially whenever Rave was in at the start.  Rave had some success against Coleman and Alexander, but he eventually tagged out to Matthews again.  Matthews took down Alexander with a leg lariat, and Rave tagged back in.  Matthews and Raved worked Alexander over for a while.  Alexander finally avoided a Matthews attack and tagged out to Coleman.  Coleman made a fun hot tag, where he did his usual cool stuff.  Alexander wiped out Matthews and Rave with a somersault plancha.  Coleman got a nearfall on Matthews with a top rope cross-body.  C&C hit Matthews with a double team backbreaker move, but Rave made the save.  Matthews hit Alexander with a swinging DDT.  Rave and Coleman tagged in. Rave grazed Coleman with a lariat. Rave hit Alexander with a Shining Wizard.  He then hit Coleman with a STO.  Rave then gave Alexander a STO on the apron.  Matthews wiped out Alexander with a tope suicida.  Alexander came back and hit a springboard dropkick on Rave and Matthews.  Alexander then hit a handspring kick to Rave. Rave blocked a frog spash.  Matthews hit Cole with a corner IED kick, and Rave then got Coleman with a small package: 1…2…3!

This was a really fun match.  It started a little slow, but once it got going it got really good.  Coleman and Alexander are really coming together as a team, and I am disappointed that ROH hasn’t done more with them.  I wouldn’t mind Rave and Matthews being brought in as a team to other promotions.  They work well together.

Match Rating: ***1/4

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
