Recap from TJ Hawke:

Taylor tried to get Ellis to tap out to a headlock. It did not work.  Ellis got a Crippler Crossface, but Chucky quickly made the ropes.  Kidd and Jones tagged in.  Ellis wiped out Taylor and Jones with a tope con hello.  Ellis hurt his head on the landing.  Kidd called for a dive, but Taylor took him down with a lariat.  Taylor and Jones worked over Kidd for a bit after that.  Ellis worked over Kidd too.  Somehow Kidd managed to get all of his opponents on the floor, and he then wiped them out with a somersault plancha. Back in the ring, Kidd gave Taylor a superkick: 1…2…NO!  Jones gave Ellis Total Anarchy.  Taylor gave Jones an urinagi.  Jones caught Ellis with an Ace Crusher. Kidd took Jones to the floor with a sloppy hurricanrana.  Taylor crotched Kidd on the top rope and hit the Awful Waffle: 1…2…3!

This was a solid match that I enjoyed a little bit more than I expected. Chuck Taylor really thrives in multiple person matches, and this match was not an exception.  Kidd looks like a skinny high school kid…and he is one, but he’s got a certain presence. Hopefully he will do something in this business that is memorable enough that everyone forgets his connection to the unfortunate Team Ambition Incident.  Ellis and Jones did not stand out to me much, but they also didn’t do anything to take away from the match.

Match Rating: **3/4

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
