Recap from TJ Hawke:

These guys had a solid match in March for PWG.  I’m hoping they pull out some nifty stuff for this match.  Sky was playing the rudo, which is a shame because I definitely prefer him being a fan-friendly high flyer.  Sky cut TJP off on the floor, and he started to get the heat.  TJP was able to come back and lock in a STF, but Sky made the ropes.  Sky cut TJP off again, and he went back to working him over.  TJP eventually managed to bait Sky to the floor. Sky avoided a tope, but TJP was able to get a pinning combination for a nearfall.  TJP then hit a missile dropkick for another nearfall.  TJP locked in the STF again.  Sky was able to make the ropes.  They traded some strikes until TJP hit a dragon screw legwhip.  TJP then hit the Detonation Kick, but Sky was able to get into the ropes before the pinfall.  Sky then caught him with an Ace Crusher, and he transitioned into a Dragon Sleeper! TJP taps out!

This match was again, very solid. However, I just know these two are capable of having a truly exciting match together, and I don’t understand why it’s not happening.  Maybe they need to both be babyfaces for it to happen. I can’t say you have to watch this match, but it’s certainly not a waste of time.

Match Rating: ***

About TJ Hawke

TJ was a fan of wrestling as a kid (starting around 1999), and his first concrete wrestling memory is some kid bringing Hulk Hogan his old yellow and red gear backstage during an episode of Nitro. Hogan needed the gear to defeat Kevin Nash in a title vs. career match at the next WCW PPV. Nash lost the match and his career, which sadly resulted in the world losing out on seeing Kevin Nash matches for the last 13 years. Like almost all young kids, TJ’s interest in wrestling fluctuated over the years until an episode of Raw on July 3, 2006. TJ was curious and excited to see his beloved RVD show up with the WWE Title belt and what he thought was the revitalized European title. TJ decided he must turn to the the internet to figure out what was going on. Almost 6 years later, TJ is still searching the internet every day to find out what is going on in wrestling. Now though, he writes for the pop culture site (411mania.com), has his own blog (The Best of Chikara), and is the creator of the very site you are reading now.
